Quaderni di ricerca sull’artigianato aims to explore the handicraft sector and the system of small enterprises in Italy and all over the world. The findings, facts and figures discussed in the journal underline the ability of this productive sector to adapt itself and respond to social changes representing the true expression of the connective tissue of Italian economy. The journal aims to understand the fundamental role played by the handicraft sector and the system of small enterprises in the growth and qualification of the local economy rather than the national economy. The handicraft sector contributes to the growth of wealth and shows, better than any other, the culture of difference that is so present in Italy.
