REGISTERThis book provides an overview of the main topics that are addressed by the psychology of thought. The author describes three different modes of thought that are available to the mind: intuitive, heuristic, and analytical. Each mode possesses specific features, operational functions, points of strength, and limits. Within this framework the author examines thought processes in terms of judgment, reasoning, decision-making, problem-solving, creativity, and imagination.
Alessandro Antonietti teaches Applied Cognitive Psychology at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan.
