REGISTERThanks to imagination children play and adults devise stories that take us to new worlds that differ from the one in which we live. But imagination can also be a source of deceit and self-deception and can lead people to suffer, entrapping them in labyrinths from which they cannot escape. Is it possible to learn how to use imagination and make it work fruitfully? This book explains the different kinds of imagination, its pathologies, relevant training exercises, and the cognitive strategies and constraints which involve this extraordinary ability of the human mind, which is not at all at odds with logical reasoning.
